Common questions
How many speakers do I actually need?
One powered speaker covers a backyard or small room for up to about 50 people. Past that, or if you've got two spaces (a patio and an indoor room, say), you want a pair so the sound doesn't drop off at the edges. Tell us the space and headcount and we'll tell you the real number, not just sell you the bigger package.
Do I need a mixer, or can I just plug my phone in?
If it's one Bluetooth source and no one's speaking into a mic, you don't need a mixer — the Single Speaker package covers that. The moment you add a microphone (a toast, an announcement), you need a mixer to balance the two, which is why the Basic package includes one.
Is this rental for indoor or outdoor events?
Both — the same powered speakers work either way. Outdoors, sound carries less than you'd expect and it's worth erring toward the next size up. We'll ask about the space when you call.
What areas do you deliver to?
Memphis and the surrounding metro — Germantown, Collierville, Bartlett, Cordova. Delivery and pickup are scheduled around your event.
Can I run this myself, or do I need someone there?
You can run it yourself — that's the point of a rental. We show whoever's in charge how it works at drop-off. If you'd rather have someone actually working the music and the room, that's a different service — see our DJ packages.
What if the equipment stops working during my event?
Call the number on the paperwork. We keep phone support available during rental hours, and backup gear is what the more complete packages exist for if a single point of failure would ruin your event.
