Common questions
Handheld or lapel mic — which do I need?
A handheld is right for someone giving a toast or making an announcement — it's obvious how to use it and it never falls off. A lapel (lavalier) is right for an officiant or anyone who needs both hands free during a ceremony. Most weddings want one of each.
How many microphones do I need?
One for a single speaker or officiant. Two if you want a backup ready, or if more than one person is going to speak (a ceremony with an officiant plus a reading, for instance). We rarely recommend more than two unless it's a panel or a multi-presenter event.
Do you rent microphones without a full sound system?
Yes — if you already have speakers and just need the mic itself, or if you have a small self-contained PA and just need a wireless input, that's a standalone rental.
What if the mic cuts out during the event?
Battery backup is included specifically for this. If something does fail, call the number on your paperwork — phone support is available during rental hours.
Is delivery included?
Yes, across Memphis and the surrounding metro, with a walkthrough of how everything works at drop-off.
